Community Action Lanarkshire
Community Action Lanarkshire (CAL) offer support for rural communities across rural North and South Lanarkshire with community-led plans, training, and to build and grow projects.
Our vision is that community decisions will be made for each place, in that place, by the people who live there. Communities will work together towards a common purpose, where the focus is on local people-led action.
The programme will help revive community life, increase participation, tackle inequalities, keep money in the local economy, improve the environment and create new opportunities for learning, jobs and play. It will build your community’s ability to develop, fund and deliver projects to improve local lives for generations to come.
Community Action Lanarkshire is funded by Lanarkshire LEADER until September 2020 and managed by the Rural Development Trust.
The project follows on from the £4.6 million Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership (CAVLP) project which was supported by Heritage Lottery Fund between 2012 and 2018.
